Southampton Township School District

2026–2027 District Goals

Goal 1: Strengthen Early Literacy
Strengthen literacy instruction and intervention in grades K–3 through high-quality core instruction, targeted supports, professional learning, and ongoing assessment. By the end of the 2026–2027 school year, at least 80% of first-grade students will be reading on grade level, as measured by district literacy assessments.

Goal 2: Accelerate Mathematics Growth
Strengthen mathematics instruction across grades K–8 through student-centered learning, targeted intervention, data-informed instruction, and professional development. By the end of the 2026–2027 school year, at least 80% of K–8 students will demonstrate measurable growth in mathematics, as measured by the IXL Diagnostic.

Goal 3: Improve Science Achievement
Strengthen science instruction through the continued implementation of OpenSciEd, hands-on learning, alignment to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, and data-informed instructional practices. By the end of the 2026–2027 school year, at least 60% of students in grades 5 and 8 will demonstrate growth or maintain proficiency on the NJSLA Science assessment.

Our Commitment

Throughout the 2026–2027 school year, Southampton Township School District will monitor progress toward these goals, provide professional learning and instructional resources to staff, and use student achievement data to continually adjust supports. Our focus remains on raising the bar for every student while providing the instruction, intervention, and opportunities necessary for continued growth and success.
