When does the Pre-School Program begin, and what are the school hours?

The Pre-School Program is a full-day program that runs from September to June. The hours for preschool students are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and attendance for the full school day is expected.

Will transportation be provided for preschool students?

Yes. Transportation will be provided for all eligible preschool students. Buses will transport only preschool students.

How do I report an absence?

If your child is absent, please call the school at (609) 859-2256, select prompt 4 for the absence line, then choose SCHOOL #2. Leave your child’s name, teacher and symptoms/reason for absence

Are lunch and breakfast available for preschool students?

Yes. Both breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase from the school cafeteria. Please remember to pack one snack (morning) and lunch with your child every day, unless they are purchasing lunch from the cafeteria. Students who are purchasing from the cafeteria will select their lunch choice upon arrival. We will have lunch at 11:30am.

Where will preschool students eat their meals?

Students will eat breakfast and lunch in their classroom. Breakfast is served upon arrival, and lunch is at 11:30 a.m. Purchased meals will be delivered to the classroom at the appropriate times.

What items should students bring from home?

Each student should bring a change of clothes to keep in the classroom in case they need to change during the day. They will also need to bring a bookbag to transport any food or water as well as their daily folder that holds important information from the school. Children will also need to bring in a blanket or sleeping bag for daily rest time.

How is toileting handled in the preschool program?

Toileting will be on a schedule. If a student requires pull-ups or wipes, families are asked to provide these items.

Will students with IEPs receive their related services?

Yes. Any related services listed in a student’s IEP will be provided during the school day.

How many preschool classes will there be for 2025-2026?

The district will continue its Pre-School Expansion Program with six classes for the 2025-2026 school year. The number of classes will grow each year to accommodate all students.

How many students will be accepted for the 2025-2026 school year?

A total of 90 students will be accepted.

Where will the preschool classrooms be located?

The preschool classrooms are located in School #2. The preschool classrooms are in their own separate hallway away from the other grade levels.

What are the age requirements for enrollment?

Students must be 3 or 4 years old by October 1, 2025 to enroll in the program.

When will preschool registration be available for the 2026-2027 school year?

The registration for the Pre-School Program will be posted online on TBD.
